Very mature, sweet Riesling from the single vineyard, Herrenberg, by the commune of Maximin Grunhaus in the outskirts of Mertesdorf on the southern bank of the famous Mosel river.
Beerenauslese is a German classification for a late harvest, very sweet wine. Beerenauslese, often called "BA" for short, wines are a category and level of sweetness above Auslese and are made from grapes affected by noble rot, i.e."botrytised " grapes.
